Jonne Bloem is a Phd Candidate at Utrecht University since August 2022. Jonne started her Phd after she finished the research master Educational Sciences: Learning in Interactions at Utrecht University in 2022. In her research she focuses on teacher-student interactions in primary education. Specifically, Jonne looks at how teachers’ need support and thwarting relates to student motivation, engagement and learning performance for students from different socioeconomic and ethnic family backgrounds. With this research she hopes to contribute to more equitable educational opportunities for students from diverse backgrounds.
