Kerstin Helker is a lecturer at the Institute for Education at RWTH Aachen University, Germany. She completed her PhD in September 2015 on the interplay of students’, parents’ and teachers’ judgements of responsibility in the school context and how these are related to student motivation and school outcomes. Further research interests focus on emotions of mentors, university teachers’ motivation and collaborative learning settings.
